On Sunday 29 May Thomas McHugh was Ordained a Deacon by the Archbishop of Dublin in the College Chapel, St Patrick's College, Maynooth.

As a Deacon, with the help of the Holy Spirit, he will be able to read the Gospel at Mass, help the priest directly at the altar, distribute Holy Communion at Mass and to the Sick, lead public prayers, assist and bless Marriages, baptise and lead the prayers at burials.

Thomas asks that you to keep him in your prayers as he makes his final preparations before his ordination to priesthood next year.
